The main stages of work
The first step is to clean the surface of the jack from dirt. For this, an ordinary metal brush is quite suitable. After that, you can begin to disassemble. First you need to straighten all the cotter pins with the help of pliers and remove the "fingers". Then you need to remove the movable mechanism.
At the next stage, we process the connection points using WD-40, after which we try to unscrew the bolts. Since the bolts have been firmly rusted for such a long time, some effort will have to be made.
The oil on the parts and the inner walls of the jack body can be washed off with ordinary gasoline or diesel fuel. When disassembling, care must be taken not to lose the small elements in the form of springs and metal balls.
Rust can be removed using a simple and proven tool - "Tsinkarya". And old paint is easy to remove using a paint shredder. After cleaning, change the cuff and proceed to assembly.
