For cutting metal blanks (strips, corners, channels, etc.) in a home workshop it is convenient to use a cutting machine that you can do yourself.
To do this, you will need a small grinder and a swingarm with a bracket from the VAZ. First of all, it is necessary to separate the pendulum arm from the ball "fingers" of the middle and lateral rods.
As a bed the master uses a piece of a profile pipe of rectangular section. However, you can also take a piece of the channel or weld two corners together.
After you have separated the bracket with the lever from the rods, you will need to clean it. For this, the master uses a gas burner and a brush for metal.

At the next stage, two holes must be drilled on the edge of the profile pipe, and then the bracket with the pendulum lever can be fixed on it with bolts and nuts.
Next, from the segments of the metal strip, it will be necessary to make a mount for the grinder. Then it will need to be welded to the lever.
At the last stage of the work, it remains only to weld a piece of a square bar to the base (this will be an emphasis for blanks), after which you can proceed with the assembly of the homemade device.
