In this review, the author offers the idea of how to make a simple device for bending a thin sheet (acrylic) plexiglass, which is often called plexiglass.
With this home-made device, you can bend thin plates of acrylic at an angle of 90 degrees. This can be useful when making any DIY crafts.
The first step is to saw off three pieces of wood or plywood. Two workpieces are connected to each other by a step using self-tapping screws. Then the author mounts the heating element (for example, you can remove it from the old electric heater).
To prevent direct contact of the heating element with the tree, it is necessary to "isolate" it. For this, the master uses aluminum strips. They are attached to the sides and bottom of the heating element.
The main stages of work
After carrying out all the necessary electrical work, you will need to install and connect the on / off button, and also connect the wire with the plug so that you can plug this device into a power outlet.
Next, a third board is attached to the hinges. Unlike the first two, it will be mobile - it will rise and fall. It is it that is used to bend the heated plexiglass at a right angle. That, in fact, is the whole construction.
At the last stage of work, an aluminum corner will need to be fixed on the back of the movable board.
