The functionality of a manual grinder can easily be expanded using different nozzles and homemade devices for this. As a result, not only speed increases, but also the quality of operations performed. For example, using a simple home-made stand for angle grinders, which is easy to make with your own hands, you can increase the accuracy of cutting sheet metal at an angle of 90 degrees.
To make this device, you will need two pieces of steel plate and a piece of corner, as well as fasteners. All parts are interconnected by welding, after which a grinder is attached to the main structure. Please note that for a better cut and to avoid biting the disc, it is necessary to set the angle grinder strictly vertically - at a right angle to the surface being machined.
The main stages of work
First of all, we cut 2 identical pieces from a steel strip of suitable width and thickness, in which we drill holes along the edges. Using bolts, we fix the plates to the housing of the angle grinder. Then we expose them so that the cutting disc of the grinder is at a right angle (perpendicular) to the surface of the table, after which we weld a segment of the steel corner to them.
