With the help of a home-made manual clamp-scissors, you can quickly and reliably fix parts and workpieces together, as well as press them to the surface of a table or workbench. Of course, ordinary clamps, which can be bought in the store, will also cope with this task.
But, a manual clip-scissors is more convenient to use, which saves time. At the same time, it can be made from improvised materials. So why then overpay? For this homemade product you will need two tubes and strips of metal.
First, we cut off two long strips and drill two holes in each of them. Then we connect the workpieces to each other using a bolt with a nut. We fix the springs at the end of the strips - two pieces will be enough for the effective operation of the scissor clamp.
The main stages of work
Using a grinder, cut to size other workpieces (also from a strip of metal), and then fasten them to the scissors. As fasteners we use bolts with nuts. Two grips for clamping can be made of round steel tubes of suitable diameter.
On the edges of long strips we weld two "shorties" at an angle. Jaws are welded to them to clamp the workpieces. You can make them from a piece of a rectangular plate.
Then it remains only to clean the welds with a petal circle. Details on how to make a practical manual clip-scissors for quick fixing of metal and wood blanks can be found in the video on the website.
