Metal clamps are one of the important elements of a multi-tier frame made of reinforcement. As a rule, they have a square or rectangular shape, they are made on special bending machines from steel wire with a diameter of 6.5 mm or more.

Clamps for the reinforcing cage are often used in the construction of various reinforced concrete structures and pouring concrete foundations or monolithic ceilings.

To increase the speed of work (for example, when knitting long reinforcing frames for columns), you can use a home-made stretch clamp. To make such a clamp is not difficult, but first you need to make a bending mini-machine from improvised materials.

How to quickly make a stretch clamp

First of all, we make the simplest device, with which it will be possible to bend both ordinary single clamps and long stretch ones. Any improvised materials are quite suitable for a mini-machine: for example, an asterisk, a piece of a bolt, a piece of bar.

In the stud of the bolt, it will be necessary to make a small slot with a grinder under the diameter of the wire. Well, then you can begin to make a homemade stretch clamp. We make marks with a marker on a wooden base and bend the steel wire.

As a result, we get a homemade long stretching clamp for knitting reinforcement. You can see the step-by-step process of work in the video on the site. Write in the comments what you think about this method of manufacturing a clamp for fittings.
