From a conventional metal ruler, a 12 V electric motor, as well as a cartridge for small diameter drills and a conventional plank, you can do it yourself with a simple but useful homemade product.
In this article, we will tell you how to make a miniature drilling machine for a home workshop from affordable and inexpensive materials.
With this homemade product, you can drill holes in small parts. However, most of all, such a miniature drilling machine is useful to those involved in radio electronics, since it is very convenient to drill fiberglass boards with it.
The main stages of work
As a basis for a drilling machine, you can use a piece of a thick board or, for example, a suitable plywood blank.
First of all, you need to make markings on the surface of the board and drill four holes for the rubber legs - this is necessary so that the base itself is motionless and as stable as possible.
From a metal ruler (the wider the better) it is necessary to make a U-shaped part, which will be used as a "bracket" for the drill chuck.
In the ruler, you must also drill a hole so that you can insert the electric motor into the "socket". Then you need to install a mini drill chuck on the motor shaft, and then you can proceed with the assembly of the entire structure.
