In the process of working with metal workpieces, you often have to clean the edges with a file. On the one hand, everything seems to be simple - hold the part in a vise and drag along the edge. And if you need to process a large part and it does not fit into the yews?

In this case, you can use a simple device - a homemade electric file driven by a grinder. And to make such an adapt is not difficult at all, and in time it is not for long.

Take a piece of iron sheet - 3 mm thick. We drill a plate according to the diameter of the seat. Cut off the excess, give the form to the base. For the guide, a profile pipe with a cross section of 20 * 20 mm is suitable.

The main stages of work

Next, the master makes a plug, drills a hole in it and cuts the thread for the tension bolt. On the side, you need to make a cut through which the fixation with the wing will take place. We weld this part to the base. The guide is assembled.

We make a roller from a piece of round timber. It will be mounted on the shaft of the grinder. To do this, drill a through hole with a diameter of 12 mm. We cut the thread M 14 in it.

From two pieces of the seventeenth corner we collect a square. This will be the moving part of the nozzle. We drill a hole in it, make a thread for the lamb. From a section of a professional pipe we grind the likeness of a bicycle fork. We put it on the square, weld it.

We insert two bearings into the eyes, thread the axis and grab it by welding so that nothing scrolls. This movable part moves inside the pipe, and the lamb fixes the desired length.

At the last stage, it will be necessary to protect the base of the nozzle. We use a strip of millimeter metal for this. We bend on the pipe and weld to the base. The casing is ready.

Having spent a little effort, time and materials, we got an electric file. At any time you will need to grind large metal products. For more details on how to make this device, see the video on the site.
