In this review, the author shows how to make your own original dining round table with a rotating stand. For this, the sides of the wooden drum for the electric cable will be used.
First of all, the drum will need to be disassembled - to make a dining table, you only need two round sidewalls. One of them will go to the countertop, the second will act as a rotating stand.
The author decided to make the legs of the table out of a profile pipe of rectangular cross section. First you need to cut four legs (the edges must be cut at an angle of 45 degrees), then a cross is made.
With a grinder, we clean the workpieces from the profile pipe from rust and dirt, if necessary, and weld them together. Welds will then also need to be cleaned.
Countertop Making
The author uses one of the sides of the cable drum as a tabletop. In fact, it is already ready - it will only be necessary to put it in order.
It is enough to grind the surface of the wooden circle with a grinder. Then, from the second sidewall, the author makes a circle of smaller diameter. It also needs to be sanded, and then we varnish both circles.
At the next stage, the author sets the tabletop on the crosspiece and fastens the turntable from the steel disk, to which a circle of smaller diameter will be screwed.
