We decided to make yourself a grinder, but there is no suitable electric motor at hand? Well, you have to think outside the box ...
You can use angle grinders as a drive for the grinder. Moreover, a small Bulgarian with speed control is best suited for this.
First of all, we cut the workpieces from the profile pipe and corner.
We make markings and drill holes in one of the corners. In another, we cut out the grooves.
The main stages of work
From the profile pipes we weld the main part of the grinder design. It should turn out as in the photo below. But the dimensions of the frame itself may be different.
We weld an elongated nut to the inner corner, which is located at the top of the frame.
Then we take a bolt of suitable diameter, and we fasten a strip of metal. Cut it to the right size.
We weld a small piece of the plate to the frame, which is the limiter for the movement of this strip.
Next, from two pieces of metal we make a hinge element, which we fasten to the strip. Previously, it will be necessary to drill mounting holes in it.
The final touch - and you're done
In the strip and frame of the grinder, we drill one hole, we screw the bolts into them and then we install the spring.
We weld two steel plates with holes along the edges to the bottom of the frame. They are needed to attach the grinder to the table.
At the last stage, it remains only to make and install the rollers for the sanding belt. To do this, you can take pipe sections and press bearings into them from both sides.
