In this review, the author shows how to make a simple and convenient device for manual grinding of metal or wood workpieces.
You can make this homemade product from improvised materials. Cutting of a round steel pipe and a metal strip will be required.
First of all, cut off two pieces of a round pipe and weld them at an angle of 90 degrees. We clean the weld with a grinder.
In the upper part of the frame (at the end of the pipe), the author makes a cut and drills a hole. Then it will be necessary to fix a piece of metal strip.
In the upper part of the strip we drill a hole to fix the spring. We weld a bolt to the frame, wind the nut, then we put on the other end of the spring and fix it with the second nut.
The main stages of work
From a piece of metal, the author cuts out two blanks, in which he then drills holes. The result was fastenings (“ears”) for the sandpaper tape.
Then these fastenings are welded to the frame and the metal strip. We clean all the details and then paint them with spray paint.
At the next stage, you can start assembling the tools. With its help it is very convenient to grind different round billets: rods, pipes, holders.
