Materials for work:
1. Plastic canister with two mouths for draining - 1 pc.;
2. Bulk hose for a washing machine (length - 2 m) - 1 pc.;
3. Watering gun on a telescopic rod - 1 pc.;
4. Quick-detachable fitting - 1 pc.;
5. Valve for tubeless wheels (spool) - 1 pc.;
6. Rubber gasket (inner diameter 15 mm, outer diameter 24 mm) - 1 pc.;
7. Coupling - 1 pc.;
8. A screwdriver, a thick drill, a feather drill with a diameter of 22 mm, silicone sealant or rubber glue, an automobile compressor.
Stages of the work:
The first stage: we mount the air inlet.
Having collected the necessary components, remove the cover from the drain neck of the plastic canister. Important: in the future, when using a mini-washer, it will be necessary to lay the canister on its side, with the filling hole down (for direct outlet of water under pressure), therefore we leave the cover of this hole for interface with the hose. We make a hole in the removed cover with a thick drill.
We apply silicone sealant on the valve side for tubeless wheels (colloquially - spool).
We screw the valve into the hole in the lid, carefully press, dry.
After the sealant has hardened, we wrap the lid on the drain hole of the canister.
Second stage: we mount an outlet for water.
Remove the lid from the second opening of the canister. We make a hole in it with a pen drill corresponding to the diameter of the coupling.
Insert the coupling into the drilled hole.
For a more secure fastening of the coupling, pour the joint with the cover with silicone sealant and dry it.
From one end (preferably a curved) of the inlet hose for the washing machine, we cut off the nut and its fastening.
The fastener itself will not be useful in further work, but with a nut we fix the back side of the coupling, after applying silicone sealant to it.
After drying the sealant, we wrap the lid on the opening of the canister.
The third stage: we connect the hose to the watering gun.
The use of the inlet hose for the washing machine is due to its ability to withstand high water pressures. We cut the cut off part of a hose into a nut of a quick-detachable union.
We fix the hose section in the quick-release fitting (it is clamped with a special mount).
We twist the main fitting and its nut.
We wind the fitting on the watering gun on the bar.
Fourth step: connect the hose to the canister.
In order to avoid air escape when water is supplied under pressure, we insert the rubber gasket of the required diameter into the second nut of the inlet hose.
Screw the nut onto the quick-release fitting.
The mini-wash is ready!
Fifth stage: we put the sink into operation.
Pour water into the canister.
We connect a car compressor to the valve and pump up air (about 1 atmosphere, the main thing: do not overdo it in the pump - it can inflate or break the canister).
We press the start button on the watering gun and my favorite car.
Such a mini-sink is convenient to use, requires little water, takes up little space and can be operated in a miniature space. In addition to a car, a sink will help with cleaning the windows of a country house, bicycle, boat, stroller, etc.
